JUST IN: A Chelsea prospect, aged 19, has officially announced his comeback, concluding a period during which he hasn’t been part of the Blues’ lineup since August due to a significant and contentious issue involving him.

    1. Diego Moreira, a Chelsea youth player, recently revealed on social media that he is back at Stamford Bridge after completing his loan stint with Lyon in France.
    2. Despite putting in notable performances, he faced challenges at Lyon and temporarily outshone former Chelsea transfer target Rayan Cherki.
    3. However, like other Chelsea loaned players, his playing time diminished during the season.

Chelsea has already recalled players such as Andrey Santos, Cesare Casadei, and David Datro Fofana, with Fofana moving to Burnley.

Moreira, through an Instagram post, confirmed the end of his loan with Lyon and expressed gratitude to the supporters.

While it’s uncertain how he might impact Chelsea’s side for the rest of the season, his return to West London is imminent.

Having made his debut for Chelsea in August during the EFL Cup win over AFC Wimbledon, Moreira faces competition from players like Cole Palmer, Noni Madueke, and Raheem Sterling for minutes on the right.

This season could serve as an opportunity for him to gain valuable experience alongside some of the world’s best players.
