BREAKING NEWS: Chelsea FC icon Didier Drogba has issued a cautionary message to Chelsea, urging them to make every effort to secure Victor Osimhen’s transfer to Stamford Bridge in the upcoming summer. Drogba’s warning comes as reports indicate that Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is actively pursuing Osimhen as a potential replacement for Kylian Mbappe, who has confirmed his departure from PSG at the end of the season.

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is reportedly considering Napoli striker Victor Osimhen as a replacement for Kylian Mbappe, who has confirmed his departure after this season.

Osimhen, previously linked with Chelsea, is now attracting interest from various clubs, including PSG, thanks to his impressive performances in Italy.

The Nigerian striker, who played for Lille in France before joining Napoli for a record fee of around €80 million, won the Capocannoniere award last season, contributing significantly to Napoli’s Serie A triumph.

Despite Osimhen signing a new contract with Napoli in December, featuring a reported release clause of approximately €130 million, he hinted in a January interview that he has made a decision about his future, set to be revealed in the summer.

PSG’s pursuit of Osimhen intensifies the competition with Chelsea, with the French club offering financial incentives and the chance to compete in the UEFA Champions League, making it an appealing destination for the striker.

Simultaneously, Chelsea is undergoing a management restructuring following Todd Boehly and the Clearlake Group’s arrival.

The club is eyeing Brighton & Hove Albion’s head of recruitment, Sam Jewell, to strengthen their scouting setup.

Chelsea, keen on securing Jewell as a global scouting director for both Chelsea and their sister club Strasbourg, is swiftly pursuing him amid concerns that Manchester United may try to lure him, given his value.

This move aligns with Chelsea’s previous acquisition of Paul Winstanley from another Premier League club in 2023, aiming to bolster their scouting department.
