BREAKING NEWS: In a bid to secure his position, Mauricio Pochettino is in the process of finalizing the departure of an underperforming player, widely regarded as the key factor behind Chelsea’s defeat to Wolves.

Following Chelsea’s disappointing 4-2 defeat against Wolves, Mauricio Pochettino is contemplating a significant tactical shift to salvage his position amid heightened pressure.

The loss marked Chelsea’s first home defeat to Wolves since 1979, triggering boos from the stadium and increased scrutiny, even extending to social media with the wife of Thiago Silva seemingly advocating for Pochettino’s dismissal.

The defeat has placed Pochettino’s team in the 11th position, with diminishing hopes of returning to European football.

Despite an upcoming Carabao Cup final later in the month, Pochettino is actively seeking an immediate change in fortunes.

Reports suggest he is considering a formation switch to a three-man defense, potentially adopting a 3-5-2 or 3-4-3 formation.

This tactical adjustment aims to address issues such as midfield balance, provide greater attacking freedom to wing-back Ben Chilwell, and offer additional support in central defense, where Chelsea boasts numerous options.

In the aftermath of the match, Pochettino hinted at imminent changes in response to the team’s disappointing performance.

He expressed determination not to give up and stressed the need for diligent work to bring about a positive change, indicating that decisions might be made to explore alternative approaches.

Acknowledging that the current strategy may not be effective, Pochettino signaled a readiness to adapt and seek different solutions.

Despite Chelsea’s tenth league defeat of the season, the 51-year-old coach took accountability for the circumstance, emphasizing that the team is not performing at a sufficient level.

“We failed to handle the situation adequately. Naturally, no one can be considered secure, right? I don’t want to assert that I’m the best and the players are the worst.

At present, we are not living up to the club’s history, that is a fact. We must acknowledge and evaluate this.

We will not surrender,” Pochettino declared, showcasing the team’s commitment to identifying and implementing solutions.
