In the second half, Cunha completed his hat-trick, compounding Chelsea’s misery despite Thiago Silva managing a late consolation goal.

Pochettino is facing escalating pressure, and the frustration among Chelsea fans is increasingly directed toward their star players. Raheem Sterling, a £45 million acquisition from Manchester City 18 months ago, has become a prime target for discontent.

When Sterling was substituted with 20 minutes left in Sunday’s match, a substantial portion of the home crowd voiced their dissatisfaction, emphasizing the high expectations placed on one of the club’s highest earners. In an earlier opportunity during the second half, Sterling had a golden chance to level the game, but his low shot veered wide of the goal.

On social media, fans expressed their displeasure with their own player. One supporter commented, “For the club’s top-paid player, he deserves that,” while another stated, “He has been dreadful. We should definitely boo him.”

Some characterized the four-time Premier League winner as “insignificant,” and others went as far as suggesting, “He should leave my club.” The discontent among Chelsea supporters reflects the mounting pressure on Pochettino and his squad as they navigate a challenging period, with fan expectations and frustrations intensifying. Addressing the concerns surrounding key players like Sterling will be crucial for Pochettino to regain support and steer Chelsea back on course.
