Prior to their highly anticipated match against Chelsea, Cole Palmer remained unfazed by the actions of a Manchester City player in the tunnel.

The clash between the two Premier League powerhouses took place on February 17 at the Etihad Stadium, culminating in a thrilling 1-1 draw. Despite the intense competition,

Raheem Sterling, a former City player, managed to secure the opening goal just before halftime, marking his second successful strike against the defending champions this season.

With City now trailing league leaders Liverpool by four points with one game left, their hopes of clinching victory were dashed as they failed to breach Chelsea’s defense for a second goal, ultimately settling for a single point.

Amidst the ninety-five minutes of riveting football action, a potentially tense moment unfolded in the tunnel before kickoff, involving Ederson Moraes and Cole Palmer.

As Palmer, who recently transferred to Chelsea for £42 million, made his first return to the Etihad, he received warm greetings from every City starter except Ederson.

While Palmer exchanged quick embraces with teammates Phil Foden and Erling Haaland, Ederson refrained from extending the same gesture. However, there’s a plausible explanation behind the lack of a handshake.

Meanwhile, supporters of Luke Littler, a 17-year-old football talent, now have the opportunity to purchase his playing shirt as a display of solidarity.

Despite his loss to Luke Humphries in the final, Littler captured the attention of Alexandra Palace during the World Darts Championship at the age of 16.

Participating in a mini-tournament every Thursday until the final in May, Littler, known as the “Nuke,” competes against some of the world’s top dart players, including Humphries, Michael van Gerwen, and Gerwyn Price.

Regarding Palmer’s encounter with Ederson in the tunnel, the 21-year-old had just turned to face the direction of the City players after the first player had passed through.

Unfortunately, since Ederson was the first to walk through, he failed to recognize Palmer, inadvertently missing the opportunity to greet his former teammate.

Despite the tunnel incident, Palmer has made a significant impact in his debut season with Chelsea, leading the team with ten goals and six assists in the Premier League.

His contributions have been instrumental in Chelsea’s journey to their first-ever EFL Cup final, where they are set to face Liverpool on Sunday, February 25.
