JUST IN: A highly productive Italian player, monitored by Manchester United for several months, has opted to disregard their interest and has officially signed with Chelsea in a completed transfer deal valued at £70 million.

Recent reports suggest that Chelsea is contemplating a potential summer transfer for Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic.

Despite securing Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku in the previous summer transfer window, Chelsea, following their home loss to Wolves at Stamford Bridge, is currently positioned eleventh in the Premier League, indicating scoring challenges this season.

With an eye on bolstering their squad at the end of the current campaign, Fichajes indicates that Chelsea is eyeing Vlahovic as a potential target, and Juventus might be open to selling him for a fee of £68 million.

The Serbian forward has recently showcased his goal-scoring prowess, reigniting Chelsea’s interest.

Atletico Madrid also has Vlahovic marked as a “big target,” setting the stage for a tough decision for the striker between the two clubs during the upcoming summer transfer window.

Chelsea’s decision to allow Armando Broja to sign a one-year loan agreement with Fulham, their West London neighbors, rather than reinforcing their offensive options, adds to the speculation that the Blues are actively looking for a new striker.

While it is anticipated that Chelsea will make a new striker signing before the 2024–2025 season, Broja’s long-term stay at Stamford Bridge remains uncertain.

In addition to Vlahovic, Chelsea is reportedly linked to other striking options.

Ivan Toney from Brentford and Victor Osimhen from Napoli are two players whose names have surfaced in connection with Chelsea.

Osimhen’s contract with Napoli now includes a hefty £111 million release clause, requiring activation for the Italian team to permit his departure.

However, given Osimhen’s injury struggles this season, Vlahovic emerges as a more viable target for Chelsea in the upcoming transfer window.
