According to Pep Guardiola, the head coach of Manchester City, Jack Grealish’s absence from the starting lineup is primarily due to his current form.

Furthermore, the coaching staff has expressed that it will be challenging for the midfielder to reclaim his position in the initial lineup.

Guardiola emphasized that if Jack and Jeremy are not in the lineup, Julian and Phil won’t be either, stating, “It is what it is,” on the City website.

“We need it. The situation is better now. Oscar Bobb, although not featuring in the recent game, has made a remarkable impact,” Guardiola added.

He stressed the importance of having players who can come off the bench and influence the game since matches last for ninety, ninety-five, or ninety-seven minutes.

Guardiola pointed out that even Kevin De Bruyne was on the bench upon his return but played a crucial role in helping the team secure victory.

Such scenarios will occur frequently in many games, as everyone is eager to contribute, Guardiola noted.

Regarding Jack Grealish, Guardiola mentioned that he is taking steps to reach his peak performance but needs to return to his previous level, particularly his form during his time at Aston Villa. The coach expressed anticipation in providing Grealish with more playing time.

While acknowledging Grealish’s improvement, Guardiola highlighted that this season has been different from the last one, but the team aims for him to return to his best form.

Guardiola reassured that he is content with all his players, including Grealish, and emphasized that the midfielder is diligently working towards reaching his full potential.
