Erling Haaland, the striker for Manchester City, is gearing up for the upcoming derby against Manchester United this weekend after a stellar performance in the FA Cup on Tuesday, where he scored five goals in City’s 6-2 victory over Luton Town.

The Norwegian forward is eagerly anticipating the big game against United, a team that holds special significance for him. In his first Manchester Derby, Haaland scored a hat-trick as City secured a 6-3 win, although the match was more comfortable for City than the scoreline suggests.

Despite losing the return fixture at Old Trafford last season, Haaland found the net again in his final game against United, scoring twice in City’s 3-0 victory.

Ahead of the highly anticipated derby, Haaland took to Instagram to express his excitement, captioning a photo with “Manchester Derby is coming up!”

During the October match, United fans chanted ‘Keano’ in reference to Roy Keane, with whom Haaland’s father, Alf-Inge Haaland, had a storied rivalry.

Haaland, however, had the last laugh, describing the victory as “amazing” and praising the team’s performance, particularly singling out Bernardo Silva for his contribution.

Reflecting on the match, Haaland acknowledged the chants directed at him but remained focused on the game and celebrated the victory alongside histeammates.
