However, additional exits may also be on the horizon.
Under the stewardship of Todd Boehly, Chelsea has witnessed a notable influx of players, with 12 signings secured to long-term contracts last summer.
Consequently, the club had to offload several players, with a total of 14 departing permanently.
This included high-profile figures such as Kai Havertz and Mason Mount, who made substantial moves to rival Premier League clubs.
To adhere to Financial Fair Play regulations, Chelsea must continue to make significant sales, as reiterated by reports suggesting that domestic talents like Conor Gallagher may need to be transferred for the club to generate profit.
Despite ongoing speculation surrounding Gallagher’s future, no agreement has been reached regarding a contract extension.
Fabrizio Romano has indicated that four more players are set to leave Chelsea, with the club expected to recoup approximately £132 million from their sales.
Among those mentioned are Broja, Ziyech, and Lukaku, all of whom are currently out on loan.
Romano has suggested that Ziyech may have played his final game for Chelsea, while Broja is anticipated to be sold upon his return from loan at Fulham.
Lukaku and Maatsen’s destinations remain uncertain, with rumors suggesting a move to the Saudi Pro League for Lukaku and interest from other clubs for Maatsen, including Borussia Dortmund.
Further departures may be in the offing, with Romano hinting at the possibility of additional Chelsea players being moved on.
