Arsenal is reportedly willing to spend a significant amount to sign Sporting CP’s star forward Viktor Gyokeres this summer, with a bid of between £50 million and £60 million.
The Gunners are prioritizing the acquisition of a new striker after underwhelming performances from Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah last season.
To make room for new talent, Arsenal is considering selling either Jesus or Nketiah, with the club linked to various strikers in recent weeks.

Victor Osimhen’s high price tag has also led Arsenal to focus on Gyokeres.
Sporting CP, however, is demanding a higher fee for Gyokeres, and is reluctant to let him go, preferring to sell other key players like Ousmane Diomande and Gonçalo Inácio.
Arsenal has shown interest in Diomande and has scouted Inácio, indicating a broader strategy to strengthen their squad with top talent.
Gyokeres, 26, had a standout season with Sporting CP, helping the team win the league title, and his potential signing would be a significant boost for Arsenal.
His impressive performances have caught Arsenal’s attention, making him a prime target for their attacking lineup.
Securing Gyokeres will not be straightforward, as Sporting CP is determined to retain him.
This determination adds a layer of complexity to the potential transfer, making it challenging for Arsenal to finalize the deal.
However, the upcoming transfer window will reveal if Arsenal can overcome these hurdles and successfully sign Gyokeres to enhance their attacking options.
