URGENT NEWS: Arsenal Receives Huge Transfer Boost as £45 Million Star Agrees to Emirates Move

    BBy B6 June 2024No Comments2 Mins Read

Arsenal has received a significant transfer boost with the news that RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko has given the green light to a move to the Emirates.

The 21-year-old Slovenian striker has been a top target for the Gunners, who are seeking a natural number nine to lead their attack.

Sesko’s preference is to join Arsenal, according to John Cross of The Mirror, despite interest from other top clubs like Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United, and Italian sides.

Sesko’s agent, Elvis Basanovic, has been spotted at Arsenal matches, and the player himself has been impressive with 18 goals in his first season with Leipzig.

Rated at £45 million, Sesko has been described as a “better finisher” than Erling Haaland, another prolific striker who emerged from the Red Bull setup.

Leipzig is willing to sell Sesko, who joined from Red Bull Salzburg, and make a profit on their investment.

While Sesko is the priority target, Arsenal is also exploring other options, including Brian Bobbey of Ajax and Brighton’s Evan Ferguson.

However, interest in Ivan Toney and Alexander Isak has reportedly cooled.

Sesko’s decision to join Arsenal is a significant coup for the club, and fans can look forward to seeing him in action at Euro 2024, where he will face England in the group stages.

This transfer boost comes at a crucial time for Arsenal, who are seeking to bolster their attack after Eddie Nketiah’s departure.

Kai Havertz has shown promise playing through the middle, but Mikel Arteta is keen to bring in a natural striker to lead the line.

Sesko’s addition would be a significant statement of intent from Arsenal, demonstrating their ambition to compete with the top clubs in the Premier League.

The deal is not yet done, but with Sesko’s agreement in principle, Arsenal fans can be optimistic about the prospect of welcoming a talented young striker to the Emirates.

The Gunners have been active in the transfer market, and this signing would be a major coup in their bid to build a competitive squad for the upcoming season.
