According to Nutuk, Arsenal has submitted an initial bid of approximately £17 million for Kadioglu, who primarily plays as a full-back.
However, Fenerbahce is hesitant to accept anything less than £30 million for the 24-year-old player.
Kadioglu had an impressive season last year, making 51 appearances and scoring five goals with three assists, mostly playing in the left-back position.
Notably, Arsenal has already addressed their left-back position by signing Calafiori, which raises questions about their interest in Kadioglu unless they envision him in a more attacking role.
Kadioglu’s versatility is evident in his ability to play as a forward, with over 40 appearances on the right and left wings, and as a number 10 on 59 occasions.
Despite this, his impact in the final third has been somewhat limited.
There is speculation that Kadioglu’s agents may be driving the transfer news to spark interest from other clubs.
While Arsenal may have shown interest in Kadioglu earlier in the summer, the arrival of Calafiori could have reduced the likelihood of Kadioglu joining the club.
Nevertheless, Arsenal’s pursuit of Kadioglu suggests they may be exploring alternative roles for him, potentially in a more attacking capacity.
The club’s interest in Kadioglu may also be influenced by his ability to play in various positions, providing tactical flexibility for manager Mikel Arteta.
