BREAKING NEWS: Fabrizio Romano reports that Chelsea has reached an agreement on personal terms with Nigerian international Victor Osimhen for a five-year contract, making him the highest-paid player at Stamford Bridge with a weekly salary of £350,000

Victor Osimhen, the highly sought-after Nigerian striker, is expected to depart Napoli this summer, sparking a frenzy of interest from top European clubs.

Chelsea, who have been pursuing Osimhen for over a year, have reignited their interest after failed attempts to sign Jhon Duran and Samu Omorodion.

Arsenal has also joined the fray, having long admired the striker, and may prioritize his signing over Viktor Gyokeres.

With Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz as their current forward options, Arsenal is actively seeking a new attacker and could engage in a bidding war with Chelsea for Osimhen’s signature.

Paris Saint-Germain is another club vying for Osimhen’s services, but their interest is complicated by the need to offload either Goncalo Ramos or Randal Kolo Muani before making a move.

Napoli has set a new asking price for Osimhen, informing Chelsea that they will accept €71.1 million (£60 million) plus Romelu Lukaku in a potential swap deal.

Osimhen’s Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) is €71.1 million, while Lukaku’s ETV is €35.2 million.

Lukaku, who spent last season on loan at AS Roma, is expected to leave Chelsea permanently this summer, making a move to Napoli a possibility.

The transfer saga is complex, with multiple clubs vying for Osimhen’s signature.

Chelsea’s willingness to include Lukaku in the deal could give them an edge, but Arsenal and PSG remain in the running.

Napoli’s demand for €130 million, Osimhen’s release clause, may be negotiable, but the Italian club is determined to secure a significant fee for their prized asset.

As the transfer window unfolds, Osimhen’s future remains uncertain.

Will he join Chelsea, Arsenal, or PSG?

The answer remains to be seen, but one thing is clear – Victor Osimhen is one of the most coveted strikers in the world, and his next destination will have a significant impact on the European football landscape.
