BREAKING NEWS: “That game really got hard to watch starting from the 30th minute. There is no real hunger to score goals or the strive for victory. It felt like they were already tired before the game started. They are only playing for their wages.” – Rio Ferdinand on Manchester United’s Performance

In the aftermath of Manchester United’s Premier League clash with Liverpool, club legend Rio Ferdinand didn’t hold back his criticism.

In a scathing assessment, Ferdinand expressed his deep disappointment with the team’s performance, highlighting a lack of drive and hunger that has left fans and pundits alike concerned about the future of the club.

Speaking after the match, Ferdinand remarked, “That game really got hard to watch starting from the 30th minute. There is no real hunger to score goals or the strive for victory.

It felt like they were already tired before the game started. They are only playing for their wages.”

His words echoed the frustration of many Manchester United supporters who have witnessed a decline in the team’s performances in recent seasons.

Ferdinand’s critique didn’t stop there. He suggested that the players are more focused on their lucrative salaries than delivering results on the pitch.

“It’s disheartening to see a lack of fight in a club that once thrived on its never-say-die attitude.

The players need to understand that wearing the Manchester United shirt comes with immense responsibility,” he added.

The former United defender also had advice for Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who recently took over as the club’s majority owner.

Ferdinand urged Ratcliffe to consider wage cuts for players who fail to deliver consistent performances.

“If you’re playing for Manchester United, you must give your all. If not, the club should make a stand.

Wage cuts for subpar performances might be the wake-up call these players need,” Ferdinand said.

Ferdinand has often been accused of being overly critical of the team, but this time, his remarks resonate with the sentiments of many fans.

The lack of hunger and drive was evident throughout the match, as United struggled to create clear-cut chances while Liverpool looked determined to score at every opportunity.

Concerns about the motivation of Manchester United players have been mounting, and if this trend continues, it could lead to yet another disappointing season for the Red Devils.

The fans, who expect nothing less than excellence, are hoping that the club will address these issues promptly and restore the fighting spirit that once defined Manchester United.
