BREAKING NEWS: Paul Pogba reveals the single condition preventing him from joining Arsenal in January

There are reports linking Paul Pogba to Arsenal as he looks to make a return to the Premier League following his time at Manchester United.

The midfielder, who is currently with Juventus, could resume training in January and be eligible to play by March, as his initial four-year suspension for doping was successfully reduced to 18 months after an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

Pogba rejoined Juventus in the summer of 2022, but his time on the field has been limited, with only 12 appearances before the suspension.

Juventus director Cristiano Giuntoli recently hinted that the club’s roster is set without Pogba, which could mean he may need to secure a transfer in January if he wants to play competitively upon his return.

Giuntoli, speaking to DAZN via ESPN, commented on Pogba’s absence, saying, “Our position is clear.

Pogba has been a great player, but he has been out for a long time, and we’ve had to invest in other players.”

Despite Juventus’s stance, Pogba has not made any public statements regarding a potential move.

He remains focused on his rehabilitation and is eager to return to training with the team, saying, “I want to start training with my teammates. It’s tough training alone.

The main focus is to get fit and do what I love.” While he’s under contract with Juventus, the latest rumors suggest he may be considering a Premier League return, even though his most successful playing days have arguably been in Serie A.

Former Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna has weighed in, suggesting that Pogba could be a strong addition to the Arsenal squad.

Sagna pointed out that Pogba’s style of play suits the fast-paced nature of the Premier League and that Arsenal’s youthful squad could bring out the best in him.

“The Premier League suits Paul Pogba – I would love to see him join Arsenal,” Sagna remarked to Paddy Power.

He added, “He has the experience and thrives playing alongside young talent, which is when he performs best.

Arsenal has a youthful, dynamic team, and I can see him thriving in their shirt, receiving the support of their fans.”

For Arsenal, a potential signing of Pogba could add significant experience and skill to their midfield, a position they are continuously strengthening.

Although Pogba’s recent challenges have been well-publicized, his achievements, particularly during his previous time in Serie A, show he can be a powerful asset when in top form.

Arsenal’s squad, known for its high energy and dynamic style under manager Mikel Arteta, could indeed provide the environment Pogba needs to excel, as Sagna suggested.

Whether Pogba makes the move back to England and joins Arsenal remains to be seen, but his potential arrival could bring valuable experience and depth to an Arsenal team that is determined to remain competitive at the top of the Premier League.
