Arsenal earned a crucial 2-0 victory against Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in their Champions League clash at the Emirates Stadium, capitalizing on two significant mistakes by PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.
This win marked the Gunners’ first success in their 2024/25 Champions League run, with both of their goals arriving in the first half, courtesy of Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka.
The match itself was closely contested, with neither team creating many clear-cut opportunities.

Full-backs Achraf Hakimi and Nuno Mendes were among the few PSG players to threaten Arsenal’s backline, with Mendes striking the woodwork in the first half.
Nonetheless, PSG couldn’t translate their control of the ball into significant scoring chances.
In contrast, Arsenal remained a threat on the counter-attack.
Early in the second half, Gabriel Martinelli had a chance to seal the game when he found himself one-on-one with Donnarumma.
However, his shot went directly at the PSG goalkeeper, leaving Arsenal at risk of a potential PSG comeback.
PSG came close to pulling a goal back when Joao Neves hit the crossbar from a corner in the second half, but Arsenal’s defense held firm.
Arsenal’s backline, one of the strongest in Europe, neutralized PSG’s attacking threats, securing another clean sheet.
PSG’s struggles in front of goal persisted, with their only Champions League goal this season coming from an own goal in their previous match against Girona.
