BREAKING NEWS: Arda Güler reportedly drops Shocking revelation comes amid Arsenal’s struggles, including a recent injury setback for Bukayo Saka

Arsenal are reportedly exploring a strategy reminiscent of the one they used to bring Martin Ødegaard to the club on loan from Real Madrid in 2021.

Ødegaard’s initial loan move was later made permanent for a fee of around €40 million, and now the Gunners are said to be eyeing a similar approach to secure another Real Madrid talent, Arda Güler, according to reports from Spain.

The Gunners have experienced an uneven start to their current Premier League campaign, managing only five wins in their first 11 matches.

Mikel Arteta’s side currently sits in fourth place, nine points adrift of league leaders Liverpool, who have been in formidable form.

Reigning champions Manchester City occupy second place, four points ahead of Arsenal.

Adding to the Gunners’ struggles, they are without a win in their last four league fixtures, casting doubts over their ability to mount a serious title challenge and fueling speculation about their plans for the January transfer window.

One major issue for Arsenal this season has been the limited availability of captain Martin Ødegaard.

The Norwegian playmaker has featured in only four league games, leaving the team short of creativity in midfield.

This has reportedly prompted the club to identify reinforcements, with Arda Güler emerging as a top target.

The Turkish international, who caught the eye with his performances at Euro 2024, is believed to be unhappy with his limited opportunities under Carlo Ancelotti at Real Madrid.

Reports suggest Arsenal are keen to replicate their success with Ødegaard by pursuing Güler. The 18-year-old is seen as a bright prospect who could add depth and creativity to Arsenal’s midfield.

However, convincing Real Madrid to part ways with one of their most promising young players could prove challenging, as the Spanish giants are unlikely to let Güler leave without a fight.

Meanwhile, former Premier League defender Alan Hutton has voiced skepticism about Arsenal’s chances of winning the title this season.

Hutton predicts that Arsenal will likely finish third, citing the significant points gap between them and both Liverpool and Manchester City.

He emphasized how difficult it will be for Arsenal to close that gap in the highly competitive Premier League environment.

Hutton also acknowledged Chelsea’s recent progress but believes they are still a season away from becoming genuine title contenders.

As Arsenal look to navigate their current challenges, securing a player like Güler could be a crucial step in boosting their midfield options and strengthening their push for success in the second half of the season.
