𝐁𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆‼️ Arsenal close in on second signing of the summer as Arteta’s £113m transfer plan takes shape!

Arsenal are reportedly making significant strides in the transfer market, with two major deals nearing completion—highlighting the club’s early preparations for the next season.

After their disappointing Champions League semi-final exit to Paris Saint-Germain and a recent dip in domestic form, the Gunners are shifting focus to rebuilding and strengthening their squad.

Two priority targets—Viktor Gyökeres and Martin Zubimendi—are now close to joining Mikel Arteta’s team, marking a key step in Arsenal’s summer transfer ambitions.

According to reports from Portugal and sources close to the club, Arsenal have reached an agreement with Sporting Lisbon for Swedish striker Viktor Gyökeres.

The Gunners are believed to have submitted a formal bid worth €75 million (around £63.4 million), matching the striker’s release clause.

Personal terms have already been agreed upon, and the contract will reportedly run for five years.

Gyökeres, who has impressed in the Portuguese league with his goal-scoring prowess and physical presence, is seen as a vital addition to bolster Arsenal’s attack.

Meanwhile, another long-standing target, Spanish midfielder Martin Zubimendi, is also close to sealing a move to the Emirates.

A verbal agreement is understood to be in place between the player and Arsenal.

The club has been confident for some time that Zubimendi would eventually sign, and preparations have quietly been made behind the scenes to ensure a smooth transition.

Zubimendi is viewed as a natural fit for Arteta’s tactical system, capable of offering stability and creativity in midfield.

With Manchester City closing the gap in the title race and Arsenal’s recent run of just six points from five matches, there’s growing pressure on the North London club to finish strong.

Arteta remains focused on ending the season positively, but his attention has clearly turned toward reinforcing the squad for a renewed push in 2025.

Arteta recently expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming window, saying he’s “very positive” about the team’s direction, especially given how far they advanced in the Champions League with the current squad.

He believes the potential arrivals will take the club to the next level.

While links to other attacking talents like Alexander Isak and Benjamin Sesko persist, Gyökeres has emerged as the top priority.

The moves reflect the club’s intent to back Arteta fully and build on their recent progress.

With these high-profile additions, Arsenal hope to strengthen both their domestic and European campaigns moving forward.
