With all the contractual paperwork completed, Arsenal are now just a few steps away from officially confirming the signing. The new addition is expected to be unveiled as an Arsenal player within the next 48 hours.
Manager Mikel Arteta spoke to the media following Saturday’s training session at London Colney, where he all but confirmed the deal was nearly over the line. While he didn’t disclose the name, Arteta’s words strongly echoed previous reports that the transfer was close to completion.

According to insiders familiar with the situation, the player went straight to Arsenal’s medical staff upon arrival in London to begin his routine tests.
