Manchester United have OFFICIALLY confirmed the signing of an £80M Brazilian wizard on a 7-year deal!

Manchester United are reportedly on the verge of completing the signing of Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo, although no official confirmation has been released by the club at this stage.

Contrary to sensational headlines suggesting the deal is “done” and that the player has been assigned a “legendary squad number,” current reliable sources indicate that negotiations are still ongoing, albeit at an advanced stage.

United have been targeting Mbeumo throughout the early weeks of the summer transfer window, with the 25-year-old Cameroon international believed to have prioritized a move to Old Trafford.

While other Premier League clubs such as Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United also showed interest, United are the frontrunners thanks to sustained talks and an improved offer that aligns with Brentford’s valuation.

The initial bid from United, reported to be £45 million plus £10 million in add-ons, was rejected by Brentford earlier in the window.

However, United have since returned with an increased offer exceeding £60 million, which appears to have opened the door for further progress.

According to talkSPORT, the Red Devils are now close to securing the transfer, and Mbeumo is expected to undergo a medical next week in Manchester.

If the deal goes through, Mbeumo will become United’s second marquee signing of the summer, following the £62.5 million acquisition of Matheus Cunha from Wolves.

Mbeumo’s anticipated weekly wage—estimated at around £200,000—was reportedly one of the main reasons Newcastle backed out of the race, shifting their attention to other targets.

Newcastle, after cooling interest in Mbeumo due to financial constraints, have since turned their focus toward Nottingham Forest winger Anthony Elanga, a player they previously sold to Forest in 2023.

United reportedly have a sell-on clause for Elanga, meaning they stand to profit if Newcastle and Forest eventually reach an agreement.

Forest, however, are said to value Elanga at £60 million, which could once again be a sticking point for Newcastle’s budget.

Other players linked as potential alternatives for Newcastle include Mohammed Kudus, Antoine Semenyo, and Johan Bakayoko, as they prioritize signing a right-sided attacker during this window.

Meanwhile, there has been some misinformation circulating online regarding Rúben Amorim—the current manager of Sporting CP—being involved in United’s transfer activity.

There is no official link between Amorim and Manchester United, and any suggestion that he has confirmed a fourth signing for the Red Devils is entirely unfounded.

As for Mbeumo, while the transfer looks increasingly likely to happen, there has been no confirmation of a completed medical, final contract signing, or shirt number assignment.

Until United release an official club statement, fans should view the deal as “close” rather than concluded.

If signed, Mbeumo would bolster United’s right wing—a position the club has been keen to reinforce.

He would provide competition for the likes of Antony, Amad Diallo, Alejandro Garnacho, and possibly Mason Greenwood (if he remains at the club).

Manchester United fans are celebrating across the globe as the club moves closer to securing one of the most talented young strikers in Europe. In what is being described as a major breakthrough in their summer transfer plans, Manchester United have reportedly reached a verbal agreement with Swedish striker Alexander Isak. The deal includes a five-year contract with the option to extend for an additional season. According to multiple sources, the paperwork has already been completed, and the club is now just awaiting the final green light for the transfer to be made official. Buzz Around Carrington The atmosphere at Manchester United’s training ground, London Carrington, is said to be filled with excitement. From the coaching staff to the players and backroom personnel, everyone is said to be eagerly anticipating the arrival of Isak. His signing would mark a significant statement of intent by the club, especially in their quest to improve the attacking lineup. The 24-year-old has earned a reputation as one of Europe’s most promising forwards, known for his blend of pace, skill, and finishing ability. His addition is seen as a critical step in strengthening United’s frontline, which has lacked consistency in recent seasons. About Alexander Isak Alexander Isak is already a well-known figure in European football, having impressed in both La Liga and Bundesliga, as well as on the international stage for Sweden. With a playing style that combines technical brilliance and tactical intelligence, Isak has shown his ability to operate both centrally and in wider attacking roles. He is highly regarded for his agility, smart movement, sharp finishing, and strong ball control. Many top clubs have tracked him in recent years, but Manchester United now seem to have won the race for his signature. His age—early 20s—makes him a valuable long-term investment for the club. Signing a player of his caliber not only boosts the current squad but also represents forward-thinking recruitment. Isak’s versatility will offer Erik ten Hag more options in terms of tactical setup and formations. Impact on United’s Future Bringing in Alexander Isak could significantly improve Manchester United’s attacking prowess. With his goal-scoring ability, he will reduce the burden on existing forwards and encourage healthy competition within the squad. His youth means he can grow with the team, and his potential resale value makes this move a smart financial decision as well. Moreover, from a commercial standpoint, his popularity and talent could enhance the club’s global brand. While the deal is nearly complete, a few formalities still remain — including a medical examination, work permit clearance, and official registration. However, the mood among fans and pundits is optimistic, with many expecting an official announcement soon.
