Manchester United planning £110M move for 36-goal Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen after missing out TWO years ago

Victor Osimhen may have drifted out of the headlines while in Italy, but his recent loan spell in Turkey has firmly reminded everyone why he’s still one of the top strikers in world football.

After a fallout with Napoli manager Antonio Conte last summer, the Nigerian striker was sent on a season-long loan to Galatasaray — and he absolutely delivered.

The 26-year-old forward didn’t just thrive in Istanbul — he dominated.

Osimhen hit a career-high 36 goals in all competitions, including 25 goals in the Turkish Super Lig.

His remarkable output helped Galatasaray clinch the league title, edging out fierce rivals Fenerbahçe, managed by Jose Mourinho, by a comfortable 11-point margin.

Without his contributions, many fans and pundits believe Galatasaray wouldn’t have stood a chance.

He’s now a cult hero at the club — revered as the man who carried them to domestic glory.

This resurgence has not gone unnoticed — particularly by Manchester United.

The Red Devils are now keeping close tabs on Osimhen, with many insiders suggesting that his revival could be the catalyst for a high-profile move to Old Trafford.

His outstanding campaign in Turkey proves he remains a top-tier No. 9, despite concerns that playing outside Europe’s top five leagues might dull his edge.

If anything, Osimhen has sharpened his skills and demonstrated even greater consistency and maturity.

Looking ahead, Manchester United are desperate for a proven striker.

Rasmus Højlund is still developing, and incoming manager Ruben Amorim wants an elite finisher ready to deliver from day one.

Osimhen fits the bill perfectly — he’s strong, tactically intelligent, and thrives in big moments.

His blend of physicality and experience could be exactly what United need to fix their long-standing goal-scoring issues.

Previously, United hesitated over his €120 million (£109m) release clause, partly due to concerns about his injury history.

But after such a prolific season, that price tag is starting to look like a worthwhile investment.

United can’t afford to miss out again, especially after previously failing to secure talents like Jude Bellingham and Erling Haaland.

Napoli, meanwhile, are still open to selling Osimhen, particularly since it’s clear he has no future under Antonio Conte.

But his red-hot form has reignited interest from top clubs across Europe — including PSG, Chelsea, and Bayern Munich — meaning the competition will be fierce.

If United are serious, they may need to act fast and structure a creative deal — potentially involving add-ons or player swaps, such as Mason Greenwood or even Højlund.

Galatasaray would love to keep Osimhen permanently, but their financial limitations rule that out.

In short, Victor Osimhen’s Galatasaray loan has transformed him into a must-watch figure once again.

For Manchester United, the time to move might be now — before another golden opportunity slips through their fingers.
