Ardon Jashari Transfer Battle: Manchester United Join Race Amid AC Milan’s Bid

The transfer saga around Ardon Jashari is heating up, with Manchester United now emerging as a serious contender in the race for the young Swiss midfielder.

Jashari, currently with Belgian side Club Brugge, is attracting heavy interest from several top European clubs, with Italian giants AC Milan having already submitted a formal offer of €30 million (around £25.6 million).

Manchester United have reportedly opened talks with the player’s representatives, signaling their intent to pursue the 22-year-old, although they have yet to make an official bid.

United’s new manager, Ruben Amorim, sees midfield reinforcements as a top priority this summer — especially with veteran playmaker Christian Eriksen expected to leave on a free transfer.

Amorim is keen to bring in a dynamic, forward-thinking midfielder who can thrive in his energetic system, and Jashari is believed to fit that mold perfectly.

The young Swiss star began his career with FC Luzern, joining the club’s academy at the age of 11.

He worked his way up through the youth ranks and broke into the senior team by the age of 18, where he quickly became a key figure.

His time at Luzern saw him make over 100 senior appearances, contributing 9 goals and 11 assists.

His performances earned him a move to Club Brugge in 2024 for a record €6 million transfer fee — the highest ever received by Luzern.

Since arriving in Belgium, Jashari’s reputation has grown even further.

He was instrumental in Brugge’s impressive 2024/25 campaign, which included winning the domestic cup, finishing second in the league, and reaching the Champions League round of 16.

His efforts were rewarded with the Belgian Pro League Player of the Year award.

AC Milan currently lead the bidding war, but reports suggest that Club Brugge are holding out for closer to €40 million (£34.1 million), meaning Milan’s initial offer falls short of expectations.

Fulham and West Ham have also shown interest but have already been turned down.

Jashari is reportedly prioritizing a move to a club that can offer Champions League football — a condition that neither United nor Milan can guarantee at the moment, which could prove to be a stumbling block.

Elsewhere, clubs like Borussia Dortmund, Arsenal, and PSG have scouted Jashari in the past. While no formal moves have been made by those sides, interest remains high.

For Manchester United, securing Jashari’s signature could depend on whether they are willing to meet Brugge’s valuation and convince the player of their long-term ambitions — even without immediate access to Europe’s top competition.
