Manchester United are reportedly on the brink of securing the signing of Javi Guerra, a highly rated 22-year-old midfielder currently playing for Valencia CF.
As the Premier League giants aim to strengthen their midfield ahead of the 2025/26 season under new manager Rúben Amorim, Guerra has emerged as one of their top targets this summer.
According to multiple reports published on Monday, including FootballTransfers and Sports Mole, Manchester United are “close to signing” the Spanish midfielder.
Though Guerra’s contract includes a hefty €100 million release clause, sources suggest Valencia may be willing to accept an offer in the region of €24–30 million due to the club’s ongoing financial troubles.
Italian outlet Calciomercato, also cited in the report, confirmed that United are pushing aggressively to complete the deal soon.
Guerra has already made more than 80 appearances in La Liga and has stood out as a consistent performer in what has been a struggling Valencia side.
The young Spain U21 international is widely regarded as a dynamic, box-to-box midfielder with strong defensive instincts and excellent playmaking ability from deep areas on the pitch.
