Manchester United have reportedly surprised many by making an unexpected approach for Manchester City goalkeeper Stefan Ortega, as manager Rúben Amorim looks to reshape his squad ahead of the 2025/26 Premier League season.
Following a disappointing 2024/25 campaign, Amorim is determined to revamp key areas of his team, and recent developments suggest that the goalkeeping department is now a major focus.
During their ongoing pre-season tour in the United States — where they are participating in the Premier League Summer Series alongside Everton, West Ham, and Bournemouth — Amorim has been actively evaluating his players.
