Manchester United have agreed a deal to sign PSG star Gianluigi Donnarumma as their new goalkeeper

A major claim has emerged suggesting that Manchester United have reached an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain for the permanent transfer of Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.

The reported deal is said to be worth €35 million, plus a sell-on clause, with the player set to sign a long-term contract as United’s new first-choice keeper.

However, this figure and the notion of an agreed deal cannot be confirmed through credible sources, and the information appears to be rooted in unverified speculation rather than established fact.

Reliable updates from reputable sports outlets paint a different, more cautious picture of the situation. PSG have indeed placed Donnarumma on the transfer list, particularly following the acquisition of Lucas Chevalier.

The Italian goalkeeper has been left out of PSG’s squad for the UEFA Super Cup, further fueling rumors of an imminent departure.

Interest in the 26-year-old—widely regarded as one of the best in the game—has been registered by several Premier League clubs, including Manchester United, Chelsea, and Manchester City.

Donnarumma himself has confirmed his intention to leave PSG, expressing disappointment at how the situation has unfolded, while also thanking the fans for their support.

PSG manager Luis Enrique has accepted responsibility for the decision, while the player’s agent, Enzo Raiola, has been outspoken in criticizing the club’s handling of the matter.

Raiola has also suggested that only Premier League teams are in a financial position to meet the demands for his client, though concrete negotiations with United remain unclear.

Reports from sources such as The Sun and ESPN indicate that PSG are willing to accept around €26 million for Donnarumma, especially since his contract enters its final year.

While United’s interest is genuine and documented by outlets like Sky Sports, no agreement has been reached, and no medical or official announcement is on the horizon. Furthermore, Donnarumma is reportedly still open to remaining in Paris under the right circumstances.

The rumored figure of €35 million plus a sell-on clause, along with suggestions that Donnarumma will immediately undergo medical tests in Manchester, has not been corroborated by any major sports media or trusted journalists.

As of now, the goalkeeper’s next move remains undecided, with multiple clubs monitoring his situation closely.
