Kylian Mbappe has reportedly finalized his departure from Paris Saint-Germain and inked a lucrative five-year contract with Real Madrid.

Speculation surrounding Mbappe’s future has been rife, especially with his current contract set to expire at the end of the season.

Reports had indicated that he had already informed PSG’s management of his intention to leave.

Real Madrid, Arsenal, and Liverpool had all been linked with a move for the French forward, but it seems that Mbappe’s destination is now clear, with Marca reporting that he has signed a deal with Real Madrid until 2029.

While the financial terms of the contract are staggering, with Mbappe set to become one of the highest-paid players at the club, his reported salary of £12 million to £17 million per year falls short of the £22 million he currently earns at PSG.

However, he will still receive a substantial signing-on fee of £85.5 million.

Despite the widespread speculation about his future, PSG manager Luis Enrique has remained tight-lipped, stating that he has nothing to say on the matter until all parties have had their say.

With Mbappe’s move to Real Madrid seemingly imminent, any rumors of a potential transfer to the Premier League have been put to rest.

Liverpool’s Ibrahima Konate brushed off suggestions of Mbappe joining his team, while Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta hinted at the striker heading to Spain.

Mbappe’s on-field performances have not been affected by the speculation surrounding his future, as he continues to lead PSG’s attacking line with aplomb.

Despite starting on the bench against Nantes, he made an impact by coming on and converting a penalty to secure a 2-0 victory.

This season alone, he has scored an impressive 32 goals in just 31 games across all competitions.

With his move to Real Madrid now seemingly confirmed, Mbappe’s focus will likely shift to making a seamless transition to his new club and continuing his impressive goal-scoring form in La Liga.
