Manchester United’s new world-class playmaker breaks silence after sealing a 4-year deal

đź”´ Manchester United Closing in on Bryan Mbeumo as Second Major Summer Signing

Manchester United are reportedly on the verge of securing the services of Bryan Mbeumo, Brentford’s dynamic forward, in what could be their second significant signing of the summer transfer window.

Fresh off the official announcement of Matheus Cunha’s arrival from Wolves, the Red Devils are swiftly turning their attention to bolstering their attacking options further, with Mbeumo now firmly in their sights.

United manager Rúben Amorim, determined to revamp his side’s attacking firepower following a disappointing and goal-shy 2024/25 season, is prioritizing reinforcements in both the striker and playmaker positions.

Mbeumo, who had a standout season in the Premier League, has emerged as a top target due to his versatility, proven goal-scoring ability, and creative prowess.

The 25-year-old Cameroonian international enjoyed a stellar campaign with Brentford, scoring 20 Premier League goals, a tally bettered only by elite names such as Mohamed Salah, Erling Haaland, and Alexander Isak.

His performances have naturally attracted attention from several top clubs, including Arsenal and Newcastle United, although it appears United are now in the strongest position to seal the deal.

According to The Muppetiers, a reliable source for Manchester United updates, negotiations with Mbeumo’s camp are progressing positively.

The club is said to be increasingly confident of concluding the deal, with insiders suggesting that talks have not stalled or been rejected at any point.

In fact, the atmosphere surrounding the discussions is described as “encouraging,” with momentum gradually shifting in United’s favor.

While rival clubs have shown interest, reports indicate that Arsenal’s pursuit has cooled, and they are not actively pushing for Mbeumo’s signature.

This could leave the path clear for United, who believe they now have a real chance to get the transfer over the line.

The player is reportedly enthusiastic about joining and sees the opportunity to develop into a transformative figure at Old Trafford, even drawing personal comparisons to Kevin De Bruyne in terms of his aspirations and potential influence.

The deal is understood to include a four-year contract, with Mbeumo likely to earn a weekly wage between ÂŁ150,000 and ÂŁ180,000.

His ability to play across multiple attacking positions — whether as a right winger, left winger, or central attacking midfielder — aligns perfectly with Amorim’s vision of building a fluid, high-octane attacking unit.

Given United’s struggles in front of goal last season — where no single player managed to score over 10 league goals — the addition of a proven Premier League attacker like Mbeumo would be a massive boost.

He brings not only goals but also experience, tactical flexibility, and a level of creativity that United sorely lacked.

As of Monday morning, medical tests are expected imminently, and if all goes as planned, Mbeumo could be officially unveiled as a Manchester United player within days, becoming the latest piece in Amorim’s ambitious rebuild.
