Breaking News: £30m–£34m star goalkeeper open to Manchester United move – Latest Report

Manchester United are facing a crucial summer, with major work needed before the transfer window closes.

New boss Ruben Amorim is tasked with reshaping the squad so they can challenge in the Premier League next season.

With no European competitions to focus on, United can fully concentrate on improving their domestic campaign and getting back into title contention — something they haven’t done in years.

Amorim has already proven that he is willing to make bold decisions at Old Trafford. On the final day of last season, he left Andre Onana out of the matchday squad entirely, raising serious questions about the Cameroonian keeper’s future at the club.

With Onana’s inconsistent form in the spotlight, it’s clear that United could be looking for a new first-choice goalkeeper.

According to a report from Bolavip, Aston Villa’s Emiliano Martinez has now emerged as a prime target for United.

The 32-year-old World Cup-winning Argentine is said to be open to a move, with a reported price tag between £30m and £34m — a fee United should be able to meet.

Martinez looked visibly emotional during what many believe was his final appearance for Aston Villa at Villa Park.

The shot-stopper was even sent off in the last game of the season — which happened to be against Amorim’s former team — further fueling rumours of his exit.

The deal seems to be gathering pace. Reports from multiple sources suggest that Villa are prepared to let Martinez leave, partly due to financial fair-play regulations.

Football Insider and Sportskeeda both claim that Aston Villa could sanction a move this summer for the £30m–£40m range.

Crucially, tribalfootball.com reports that Martinez is now “waiting for a call from Manchester United,” while Bolavip confirms that he has ruled out offers from Turkey, preferring a move to Old Trafford.

Should this deal happen, Martinez would represent a significant upgrade over Onana — not just in terms of shot-stopping but also in leadership and presence.

A two-time FIFA Best Men’s Goalkeeper award-winner, Copa America champion, and World Cup winner, Martinez has more than 200 Premier League appearances under his belt.

He brings experience, consistency, and a winning mentality.

United now have a golden chance to sign a keeper who fits the club’s needs perfectly.

Whether they pull the trigger remains to be seen, but with Martinez prioritizing the move and United in need of a top-class goalkeeper, this could prove to be a perfect match.
