A £95 million attacker has finally arrived in Manchester to complete his move to Manchester United

Manchester United are actively exploring the possibility of signing Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson as part of their ongoing mission to reinforce their attacking options under new manager Rúben Amorim.

Since taking over from Erik ten Hag, Amorim has been handed full control of United’s pre-season and the summer transfer market, giving him the opportunity to reshape the squad according to his footballing philosophy.

So far, United have secured the services of Matheus Cunha from Wolves and are close to finalizing a deal for Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford.

However, Amorim is reportedly eager to add another forward to his roster to further enhance the team’s attacking threat.

According to reports from Florian Plettenberg of Sky Sports Germany, Nicolas Jackson is now a serious option being considered by the club.

Jackson, who arrived at Chelsea in 2023, has had an up-and-down spell at Stamford Bridge. Despite showing flashes of brilliance with his pace, strength, and ability to stretch defenses, he has struggled with consistency.

His situation has become more complicated with Chelsea’s recent moves in the transfer market, particularly the additions of Liam Delap and João Pedro.

With new Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca favoring a single-striker system, Jackson’s long-term role at Stamford Bridge is suddenly less secure.

Although Chelsea are not actively trying to offload Jackson, they are said to be open to listening to offers if the right proposal comes in.

The 23-year-old Senegalese forward currently earns around £100,000 per week, and Chelsea reportedly value him at approximately £100 million.

However, insiders suggest that they might be willing to negotiate for a fee in the £60–70 million range, depending on the structure of the deal.

Manchester United have already initiated preliminary conversations with Jackson’s representatives, though they have not yet submitted an official bid.

Other clubs, including Aston Villa and AC Milan, are also monitoring the situation, which could create competition for the striker’s signature.

With Marcus Rashford reportedly on the verge of joining Barcelona on loan, United’s attacking department is expected to undergo significant changes.

Current strikers Rasmus Højlund and Joshua Zirkzee have both struggled to maintain consistent form, leaving Amorim in search of a more reliable option up front.

Jackson’s Premier League experience, combined with his physical profile and explosive playing style, makes him an appealing target for Amorim, who prefers high-intensity, direct football.

At this stage, there is no certainty that a deal will be finalized, but Nicolas Jackson remains a player of serious interest to Manchester United.

Should the club decide to pursue him further, his arrival could inject fresh energy into United’s front line and provide the competition needed to raise the level of the squad’s attacking performances.
