Following Arsenal’s tense victory over Porto in the Champions League last-16 clash, Porto manager Sergio Conceicao has accused Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta of making offensive remarks towards his family during the heated match at the Emirates Stadium.

The highly anticipated match ended in a 1-1 draw on aggregate, with Arsenal securing their spot in the Champions League quarter-finals after a dramatic penalty shootout victory, marking their first appearance in the quarter-finals in over a decade.

As tensions escalated during the intense encounter, tempers flared, leading to a heated exchange between the two managers at the end of the match.

Conceicao alleges that Arteta directed derogatory comments towards his family in Spanish during the heat of the game, triggering a strong reaction from the Porto coach.

Expressing his disappointment, Conceicao highlighted the seriousness of the situation by revealing that the individual targeted by Arteta’s alleged remarks is deceased.

When questioned about the incident during his post-match press conference, Arteta chose to offer a brief response, stating “No comment,” thereby opting not to address the accusations made against him.
