In a thrilling encounter at Stamford Bridge, Cole Palmer once again proved to be the decisive factor for Chelsea as they secured a remarkable 4-3 victory over Manchester United.

This win marked Chelsea’s first league triumph over the Red Devils in seven years, following a disappointing result against 10-man Burnley.

Palmer’s standout performance was crucial in ensuring Chelsea’s comeback and redemption.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side started the game strongly, scoring twice within the first 18 minutes, with Palmer converting from the penalty spot and Conor Gallagher adding another goal.

However, Manchester United quickly responded with two goals of their own in five minutes, courtesy of Alejandro Garnacho and Bruno Fernandes.

Garnacho later added another goal in the second half, putting Manchester United in the lead.

Palmer, undeterred by the setback, rose to the occasion and scored two crucial goals to level the scoreline, including a dramatic winner in the 101st minute, making it the latest decisive goal in Premier League history.

Chelsea fans were full of praise for Palmer’s performance, acknowledging him as a standout performer throughout the season.

Their appreciation overflowed on social media platforms as Palmer celebrated his first career hat-trick.

Apart from his goal-scoring prowess, the 21-year-old midfielder also showcased his playmaking abilities by creating eight scoring opportunities during the match.

Palmer’s exceptional display against Manchester United further strengthens his candidacy for the Premier League’s Player of the Month award for March.

His hat-trick, comprising two goals from penalties and a deflected effort, highlighted his clinical finishing and composure under pressure.

With a total of 16 goals and eight assists in just 25 league appearances for Chelsea this season, Palmer emerges as a leading contender for the prestigious award, especially after a recent goal-scoring spree that saw him netting five goals in his last two matches.
