Mauricio Pochettino asserts that the Chelsea board continues to support him, evident in a reassuring message from owners Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali following the team’s recent loss to Wolves.

After a humiliating defeat at Anfield against Liverpool, Chelsea faced another setback, conceding four goals at home to Gary O’Neil’s side, leading to discontent among their fans on Sunday.

With this loss being Chelsea’s 10th in the league this season, they have descended to 11th place in the table, trailing behind Wolves.

Their hopes of securing a European football spot for the next season are rapidly fading as they find themselves closer to the relegation zone than the top four.

During the match against Wolves, Chelsea supporters expressed their frustration through boos and chants invoking the names of former owner Roman Abramovich and Jose Mourinho.

However, Pochettino reveals that he received a vote of confidence from Boehly ahead of a crucial FA Cup fourth-round replay against Aston Villa on Wednesday.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Pochettino clarified that he has not received any indications suggesting a loss of trust from the Chelsea owners.

He emphasized receiving a supportive message from the owners after the Wolves game, highlighting their unity in facing the challenges ahead.

Despite the challenging circumstances, Pochettino sees this as an opportunity for growth and learning.

He expressed unwavering trust in the players, emphasizing their capabilities and resilience in overcoming adversity.

Pochettino emphasized the importance of maintaining focus on the future and learning from past experiences.

Reviewing Chelsea’s previous performance against Villa, Pochettino acknowledged the team’s missed opportunities but urged the players to stay prepared and focused on upcoming challenges.

He stressed the necessity of carefully assessing the players before deciding on the team lineup for the upcoming match.
