Arsenal winger Gabriel Martinelli reflects on his unsuccessful trial experiences with Manchester United during his youth.
Despite multiple visits to Old Trafford as a youngster, the Brazilian, now 22, was never admitted to the prestigious Manchester United academy, facing challenges and nerves during the trials.
However, Martinelli, currently a key player for Arsenal, expresses the belief that everything unfolded according to a greater purpose and destiny.
The winger joined Arsenal in 2019, where he has become a regular in the first team under the management of Mikel Arteta.
With seven goals and three assists this season, Martinelli has contributed significantly to Arsenal’s success, as they currently sit in third place in the Premier League.
In contrast, Manchester United finds themselves in sixth place, trailing five points behind Aston Villa.
