Kai Havertz left an indelible mark in football history during Arsenal’s commanding 6-0 win against Sheffield United.

The German international, who joined Arsenal for £65 million last summer, secured the Gunners’ fourth goal within the opening 25 minutes at Bramall Lane, contributing to his overall tally of eight goals across various competitions.

While other players like Martin Odegaard, Gabriel Martinelli, Declan Rice, and Ben White also found the net, Havertz’s goal carried special significance.

His precise finish past goalkeeper Ivo Grbic marked the 150,000th goal in the history of English top-flight football, a milestone reported by Sky Sports.

This achievement holds particular importance for Havertz, who has flourished since his transfer from Chelsea.

Arsenal’s dominating 5-0 lead at halftime was further solidified by White’s exceptional long-range effort in the 58th minute, securing a historic triumph for the team.

Arsenal’s success extends beyond this match, as they became the first team in history to score at least five goals in three consecutive away matches.

This remarkable run began with a five-goal victory against Burnley, followed by a stunning 6-0 win over West Ham the previous week at the London Stadium.

Sheffield United, on the other hand, now bears the unfortunate record of being the first team in English football league history to concede at least five goals in four consecutive home games across all competitions.

The Gunners’ resurgence has been truly remarkable since their mid-season break in Dubai, winning their last seven league outings.

Manager Mikel Arteta expressed satisfaction with the team’s positivity, quality, and determination, highlighting their belief in continuous improvement and maintaining focus until the end of the season.

The resounding victory against Sheffield United not only showcased Arsenal’s prowess but also established a new benchmark in English football history.

As they continue their campaign, including a crucial Champions League clash against Porto and a Premier League encounter against Brentford, Arsenal aims to sustain their momentum and build upon these historic achievements.
