BREAKING NEWS: Chelsea Finalizes Deal for Brazilian Youngster Denner Evangelista

    abBy ab4 March 2025No Comments2 Mins Read

As the 2024/25 Premier League season approaches its final stretch, Chelsea remains focused on securing a top-four finish. However, alongside their immediate objectives, the club is also working on strengthening their squad for the future. Their latest move in the transfer market involves securing the services of highly rated Brazilian prospect Denner Evangelista.

Chelsea Strikes Agreement for Denner Evangelista

Renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has reported that Chelsea has successfully negotiated a deal to sign 17-year-old left-back Denner Evangelista from Brazilian club Corinthians. The agreement is worth £8.25 million, with an additional £2.06 million included as performance-based bonuses and taxes. While Evangelista will not immediately join the Blues, he is set to officially move to Stamford Bridge in 2026, signing a long-term contract that will keep him at the club until 2032.

A Promising Young Talent in Brazil

Despite not yet making his senior debut for Corinthians, Evangelista has already made a strong impression at the youth level. The young full-back has featured in 18 matches for Corinthians’ under-20 side, where he has demonstrated his attacking capabilities by scoring four goals and registering one assist.

His performances have not gone unnoticed, with Chelsea continuing their trend of scouting and recruiting young Brazilian talents. This approach has already brought players like Andrey Santos and Estavo Willian to Stamford Bridge in recent years.

    International Recognition and Family Connection

Evangelista’s talent has also been acknowledged on the international stage. He has been selected to represent Brazil’s under-17 squad in the upcoming South American Championship, further solidifying his reputation as a rising star. Interestingly, he also shares a family connection with a familiar Premier League name—he is the cousin of Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhães. However, despite his potential, Evangelista will have to prove himself upon his arrival in England to secure a spot in Chelsea’s first team.

Chelsea’s continued investment in young talent highlights their long-term vision for building a squad capable of sustained success. While Evangelista’s official move is still a couple of years away, the club’s faith in his abilities suggests that he could play a significant role in their plans for the future. For now, the young Brazilian will look to continue his development at Corinthians and on the international stage before making the transition to European football.
